Thunderstruck Grizzlies lose at OKC 114-102

Russell Westbrook dominated as he posted his 25th triple double and the Grizzlies fell to the Thunder 114-102.

The Grizzlies struggled in the first quarter with post/rim defense, giving up many points in the paint. Westbrook and Joffery Lauvergne made the Grizzlies pay by stretching the defense with their threes and getting to the free throw line.

The Grizzlies would fight back as Marc Gasol facilitated and scored at an elite level in the second half. Mike Conley led the way with his shooting, Zach Randolph and James Ennis attacked the rim…but it wasn’t enough.

In the end the Thunder shut the Grizzlies down 114-102.

Despite the loss here are tonights key players:

  • Marc Gasol: He finished with 31 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds. He shot nearly 60 percent from the field.
  • Zach Randolph: Randolph came away with a double double (16 points and 10 rebounds) with 3 assists.
  • Mike Conley: Conley had 18 points, 2 assists, and 1 rebound along with his 1 three pointer.
  • Chandler Parsons: Along with his drive and dunk in the second quarter, Parsons continues to slowly improve. He had 12 points, 1 assist, and 3 rebounds.

Tomorrow night, the Grizzlies are back in action as they take on the Timberwolves at the Target Center.
